2018 Jeep Cherokee – Changes, Redesign, Release Date

There are SUV brands and there is the Jeep. Since the days of World War II the name has been synonymous to SUVs and this explains the enthusiasm around every new model that comes out of the stable. The 2018 Jeep Cherokee is no different and given the amount of changes in its design there is great deal of enthusiasm surrounding this vehicle. The styling in this crossover is more appealing compared to its predecessors as Jeep wants to make inroads into new segments of the market with its new baby.
# Exterior
The 2018 Jeep Cherokee would sport many redesign elements on its exterior fascia. While it gets rid of some of its ruggedness (as some are terming it more car like) it clearly retains its signature muscular and aggressive styling. One of the marked changes is on the front where the classic seven-slot grille is well complemented by aggressive lines around the hood to create a unique appeal. The alloy coated metallic rims along with marvelous wheel caps add to the sense of flawlessness that written all over the exterior.  The sides and the back retain pretty much the same design as the previous version.
# Interior
Step inside and you would immediately experience more space from the previous models given the longer wheelbase. There would be more head room, hip room, leg room with the signature comfort and extravagance. This is perfectly in line with the company’s plans to market it as a family SUV and would comfortably seat four adults and you can squeeze in five people. The new line of upholstery with possibly Laguna leather fits perfectly with the premium price that buyers would need to pay.  The new 3D GPS navigation system with a new screen panel comes with lots of improvements. Similarly the entertainment system has also been enhanced and would sport amazing features.
# Engine Performance
The 2018 Jeep Cherokee would come with an all new 3.6 L V6 Pentastar under its hood for the base assortment. Compare this to the 2.4 litre engine that powers the present vehicle and we are talking about some serious performance leap.  This monster motor would dish out 29 horse power and 260 lb-ft of torque. However we expect most people to opt for the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 that would give the person behind the wheels control over 360 horse power and 390 lb-ft of torque. A newly developed 8-speed paddle shift programmed transmission would ensure a smoother ride and lots of fun behind the wheels. The new refinement to the engine means that owners would be able to cut down their fuel bill by as much as 10% with these upcoming models.

# Release Date and Price
While there is little clarity on the exact release dates we expect to see 2018 Jeep Cherokee hit the roads around April 2018. As far as the prices are concerned it would start at around the $32,000 for the base trim although Jeep can go in for aggressive pricing to take competition head-on in this segment.
